Valentine Card with Brayed Bride Paper

This card shows you how you can bray over a piece of Bride Specialty Paper (#115669-$13.95~10 sheets) to add color to the paper. You can use any color of ink. I used Melon Mambo (#115656-$5.95).

Fold the 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Melon Mambo CS in half to form a card

Roll Melon Mambo ink over the ¾” x 5 ½” striped bridal paper; ink will go on some areas and not the others so it will look like white and “the color of ink” striped paper; use a tissue to wipe off the excess ink; set aside to dry

Stamp the heart image onto scrap White CS with Melon Mambo ink ( I used the heart from Sweet Centers Stamp Set---you can use any heart design like the new I (Heart) Hearts from the Occasions Mini Catalog); cut out; set aside

Stamp desired greeting onto scrap White CS using Melon Mambo ink ~ I used Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (#115370); punch out using a Modern Label punch (#116630-$15.95); punch holes in the ends using a 1/16” handheld punch—this makes faux brads.

Adhere the brayed piece onto the 1” x 5 ½” piece of White CS. You will now have the pieces as shown in the photo below.

Ahere all the pieces to card front and your card is complete.
