Valentine Card with Brayed Bride Paper

This card shows you how you can bray over a piece of Bride Specialty Paper (#115669-$13.95~10 sheets) to add color to the paper. You can use any color of ink. I used Melon Mambo (#115656-$5.95).

Fold the 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Melon Mambo CS in half to form a card

Roll Melon Mambo ink over the ¾” x 5 ½” striped bridal paper; ink will go on some areas and not the others so it will look like white and “the color of ink” striped paper; use a tissue to wipe off the excess ink; set aside to dry

Stamp the heart image onto scrap White CS with Melon Mambo ink ( I used the heart from Sweet Centers Stamp Set---you can use any heart design like the new I (Heart) Hearts from the Occasions Mini Catalog); cut out; set aside

Stamp desired greeting onto scrap White CS using Melon Mambo ink ~ I used Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (#115370); punch out using a Modern Label punch (#116630-$15.95); punch holes in the ends using a 1/16” handheld punch—this makes faux brads.

Adhere the brayed piece onto the 1” x 5 ½” piece of White CS. You will now have the pieces as shown in the photo below.

Ahere all the pieces to card front and your card is complete.

Leadership 2010 Photos

I would like to share with you some photos from my trip to the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference held in Phoenix, AZ last week.

The theme was Love What You Do. (Of course we do!) When we checked in we received a beautiful bag with goodies.

You can see that I love the pattern on the bag because my pajama pants were almost a perfect match.

My roommate for the week was Brenda Keenan. I met her while attending the Founder's Circle Retreat. We became instant friends and enjoyed meeting up and spending time together again at leadership. Here we are during the First General Session.

On Thursday evening we attended a special event for Managers and above.....Manager's Reception. This year was a Fiesta and Rodeo.
Me and Brenda in front of the outside fireplace

Shelli's husband, Sterling, road out at the beginning of the rodeo with a Stampin' Up! Flag.

When we got to our tables we found another gift....a stamp set!

With friends at dinner: Erika, Me, Brenda, Debbie

On the last day at General Session Erika and I were Prize Patrol Winners.

In closing....everyone received a Quilt Square (seen in photo below) made with pieces cut out using the Big Shot and a stamp set that will be in the next mini catalog.

Leadership is a wonderful event for Stampin' Up! demonstrators. If you would like to become a demonstrator and participate in their wonderful events contact me for details. I would love to have you as part of my team. This month the starter kit is discounted by 15% and you will also receive any stamp set of your choice with your kit. Click HERE for more details.

A special thank you to Brenda for some of the photos.
